My summer of ‘firsts’ continued today with my longest ride in the USA to date – 57 miles. A couple of car drivers tried to ruin my day but otherwise it was a great day for riding and I met some friendly people on the trails.
I rode from New Haven to Tillman Park, then back into town before heading west to my workplace, Lutheran Hospital.
The wind was from the north today and was quite tiring at times. On the way to Foster Park I had to ride past a house surrounded by police and their cars but I have no idea what was happening.
After turning around at Lutheran Hospital I headed north through town to IPFW then to the Firefly restaurant for a very nice lunch. From there I rode home, tired but happy!
