Ice, Snow and Floods

The end of the year is shaping up to be quiet on the cycling front. The weather has been truly awful and I now have s cold to add to the misery!

The trails from New Haven to Fort Wayne aren’t maintained at all during the winter, no snow plowing or salting. For this reason I have been out on the roads but they can be busy.

The trains can take a long time to pass and there a lot of railroad crossings in the New Haven area.

The temperature rose into the 60s yesterday, which is good, but the snow melt and rain has resulted in extensive flooding of the trails.

I am back to work tomorrow but I will need a lift because it could be a while before the trails are open again.
