We went to Dunkeld for an enjoyable 15 mile cycle today. Although breezy the sun shone and it was great cycling through a part of Perthshire we hadn’t been to before.
We started at the main car park in Dunkeld before cycling out to the railway station and along the NCN 77 route for about a mile or so. This section, although easy, ran between the A9 main road and the railway and was pretty unpleasant. After that though things improved considerably and we spent the next couple of hours cycling through undulating country roads. We stopped for a picnic lunch after crossing the River Ray before completing the hilly section back into Dunkeld.
