Respite In Arctic Conditions
Over the last few days there has been a pleasant respite from the Arctic conditions we have had to endure recently so I made the most of it by going for a cycle this morning. My original plan was to cycle on the Sustrans route towards Glen Ogle but I had to give up as there was sheet ice right across the path in places. Undaunted I cycled out to Lix Toll before going down and along part of Glen Lochay instead – not a very long trip (under 15 miles) but very enjoyable all the same.
After the bike was put away I did a bit of web surfing and came across this excellent site:
TravellingTwo is produced by Andrew & Friedel — two Canadians who set off in 2006 to travel around the world by bicycle. There are lots of fascinating articles and interesting comments by the users of the site. Well worth visiting I would say!
